The Speedmaster Surf is a mid-priced, fast-action, long-range surfcasting rod that combines a high-quality carbon blank with quality mounts and powerful casting performance. The Speedmaster Surf sits in the middle of Shimano's line of surf rods and offers a variety of model options to suit your exact preferences. All rods have a powerful long range casting action and offer a fantastic combination of high performance, quality and value.

Designed with an extra fast tip action, this great looking range of rods allows you to increase power when you need more distance, while still retaining the sensitivity needed to bite small fish when using a light line. The launching power of the Speedmaster is generated through the use of full high modulus carbon, combined with Diaflash construction on the bottom of the blank.

The sensitivity comes from the hybrid tips fitted to all models except the 425T, which has a stronger hollow top section. Hybrid tips feature a full seamless section, which amplifies the sensitive bites of small fish. The superb blue blank will not cease to amaze you, which is equipped with stainless steel Fuji Fazlite K-type rings or Fuji Lowrider rings depending on the model chosen. These are corrosion resistant, lightweight, and reduce friction.

If you wear braids, you'll be happy to know that all rings are braid compatible too. To accommodate large surfcasting reels, a Fuji DPS reel seat fits comfortably over the blank and has been positioned to allow you to create maximum bottom-hand leverage when casting. This is the ideal rod for smaller species, where casting power combined with sensitivity is needed.
