The Emblem type R is the result of field research carried out by Daiwa teams on all the coasts of the Iberian Peninsula. Listening to fishermen who are passionate about surfcasting, Daiwa engineers have designed the most suitable product for their needs, always focusing on casting distances. It is waterproof thanks to Daiwa MagSealed oil. To cope with all possible situations, the reel has two additional coils, that is, 3 coils in total. Sometimes, it is better to opt for a nylon that is resistant enough to face adverse conditions (storms, strong waves and currents or even rocky areas). However, in good conditions and when you have to look for the fish very far, it is better to opt for a fine or very fine nylon (below 20/100). To improve your casting distance, surfcasting specialists use nylon of diameters very fine, often less than 20/100.

The new Emblem Type-R therefore has a capacity of 300 m of 18/100. This coil format limits the risks of tangling. To improve fishing performance, Daiwa has developed a new oscillation system that reduces tangles and improves the placement of the nylon on the spool. Thanks to the Slow Cross Wrap, the line comes off the spool perfectly when casting and allows you to place your lead at a greater distance. This is a key point for thin, brittle threads.
