The Ballistic LT 2017 is part of the new era of reels with the LT concept. Abbreviation for Light and Tough, which literally means "light and robust". Anglers are becoming more technical, more and more eager for light equipment. We use finer 8-strand braid, and Daiwa adapts its standards to accompany anglers in their search for lightness and maximum enjoyment. Thus, we have strengthened the control wheel and rebuilt the frame to have a minimalist volume. The control wheel life of the Ballistic LT 2000 has been improved by 150% compared to the previous Ballistic 2000H. Also, the average weight gain of LT reels is 50 gr! In fact, the LT Ballistic reels have a completely redesigned Air Spool Aluminum spool, lighter, as well as a newly conceived crank that gains more than 5 grams on average.

The body of the reel is made of Zaion carbon and the rotor in DS5 carbon. This lightened reel features a Tough DigiGear control wheel with a revised diameter and a helical tooth of surgically refined thickness, shape and size. This new model is a technical revolution!
